West – Parker’s Park Project – Storage Wars-TX – Auction Fundraiser – Saturday, April 26

As many of you know, the City Park in West was destroyed by the explosion at West Fertilizer on April 17.  A couple months after, then 4-yr. old, Parker Pustejovsky wanted to raise money to help rebuild the park.  Parker is the son of our friend, Joey Pustejovsky, a West volunteer fireman who gave his life in the explosion.  With the help of his family, friends, and lots of volunteers, the Parker’s Park Project hosted a hot dog fundraiser last July.  The support received that day was amazing and to date, we have raised approximately $120,000.  Please take a look at our website at www.ParkersParkProject.com and learn the whole story.  Now, after meeting with different vendors for playground equipment and looking at numerous options, Parker’s Park Project would like to announce our GOAL of $200,000.  We want to provide our children with the best playground we can get.

Recently, we were contacted by some of the cast members of A&E’s show Storage Wars-Texas, about helping with another fundraiser to help us reach our goal.  We are excited to announce that on Saturday, April 26, some of the cast members are coming to West and helping us with an Auction Fundraiser.  We are now soliciting donations of items that could be auctioned off to help us reach our goal.

Attached is a flyer promoting the event at the West KC grounds.  There will also be a fundraiser horseshoe tournament that day, so please make plans to attend.

If you, or someone you know, would like to make a donation towards this worthy cause, please contact one of us that are copied on this email.  We will be glad to arrange pick up of the donated item, to have in the auction.

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or would like to help out.

Thanks in advance for your support!
