Mark Calendar For Hill County Day In Austin
Hill County Day in Austin has been set for Thursday, February 26.
Two charter buses will transport Hill County residents for a day of activities at the capitol visiting with state leaders and attending sessions for both the House of Representatives and Senate.
A catered meal will be served at noon in the capitol’s underground extension.
In the afternoon, State Representative Byron Cook, R-Corsicana, and Senator Brian Birdwell, R-Granbury, are expected to speak to the group, plus representatives from key state agencies will be on hand to update citizens on legislation being considered.
More information on the cost of the trip and other details will be announced after the first of the year.
The trip is hosted each legislative session by chambers of commerce from Hillsboro, Whitney, Itasca and Hubbard.
