Cool Down for a Hot Cause
The Lake Whitney Ministerial Alliance and the Food Bank Building Committee invite you to participate in the Hot Cause Challenge to help raise funds for the new Ministerial Center/Our Daily Bread building. The Challenge urges the community to cool down with a version of the ice bucket challenge currently sweeping the nation, inviting people from local businesses, churches, schools and all walks of life to join in, cool off, and raise money for an important cause.
The Hot Cause Challenge will be held Thursday, September 18 from 3-7pm in the Whitney Brookshire’s parking lot. Make a donation to take the challenge yourself and/or bring your friends, family, business, and church members to accept your challenge and pass it on. Donation categories include business, church, and individual. Suggested donation amounts range from $500 to $20. One local business has offered to donate $20 for each Whitney, Blum, and Acquilla student who wants to participate! Pastor Greg Johnson and his congregation at the First Church of the Nazarene have donated $ 500 and challenge all Whitney area churches and local businesses to do the same.
LWMA wishes to thank you for your continued support and urges you to join us in this ice bucket fund raiser. You can also help to complete the building project by sending a tax-deductible donation, earmarked for the new food bank building, to Lake Whitney Ministerial Alliance, POBox 1502, Whitney, TX 76692.
