The Lake Whitney area is served by two newspapers.

The Lakelander, which is published weekly on Wednesdays, is delivered free to all local residents. This paper publishes news and sports articles of local interest, information on upcoming events, and an advertising section called the Tacklebox. Lake Whitney Views, published monthly, is the “picture paper” for all of Lake Whitney, providing photo coverage of lake-related events and updates on fishing tournaments, festivals, and reunions. It is available on local newsstands and by mail subscription. Call 254-694-2237 for more information.
