Lake Whitney Arts was founded by people with a dream of building a place where the arts could flourish. We started with a melodrama, and began rehearsing in the Prairie Valley Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. After performing our first shows at the Whitney ISD Auditorium, we were able to buy our own place. Through donations, ticket sales, and fundraisers we have built a wonderful space for our art.

We’ve come a long way from our humble beginnings. With creativity, dedication, and good old-fashioned hard work from all our wonderful volunteers, and donations from our fans, we believe anything is possible.
